Located in the picturesque country of Austria, specifically in Grundlsee, is the unique tourism concept known as "Narzissendorf Zloam" in the Styrian Salzkammergut/Austria. This project, initiated by the municipality of Grundlsee, showcases a successful collaboration between the public sector and private investment.
Construction of this resort commenced in 2020, and since then, all three parts of the village have been gradually completed. Spanning across 15 hectares of land, the resort now boasts 28 houses, 24 apartments, an inn, event facilities, sports facilities, and 2,000m² of covered leisure facilities.
An interesting aspect of this concept is that all accommodation units have been sold to private investors and are now being leased back on a long-term basis. This unique approach has provided immediate liquidity for further investment in the tourism offerings and the rapid completion of the entire complex.
With its close proximity to Lake Grundlsee, a ski area within the resort, and a wide range of leisure activities for all ages, the Narzissendorf Zloam offers a well-rounded experience. The houses in the village are built in the traditional Aussee architectural style using natural materials, adding to the charm of the location.
Emphasizing sustainability, the village is car-free and has its own local heating system for heating and hot water. In addition to Austria, the resort targets markets in Germany, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia, catering to families, individual sports enthusiasts, companies, and private events, cultural events, and group trips organized by tour operators.
